Tread lightly and ride responsibly

Looking for information to plan a family ATV trip. Coming from Iowa, so anywhere between East border to Black Hills.   Like to stay on/close to trail so we don't have to haul wheelers.  Looking for free/public use trails.  Are there maps available?  I see posts about NFS changing trails/rules, is that true, what do we need to be aware of before arriving.  Like to have lots of trails to ride, whole day type of stuff.  Have kid drivers too, any special regulations?  Thankful for any responses.

Are you camping or in a hotel? You will need license plates to get anywhere on the new system and if Iowa doesn't license then you can get temporary ones from our local treasurer. You might consider a vacation rental home if you're not camping. You can email me at Myklby@Yahoo.com and we can visit off line.

I agree with Bob Hanson...the Nemo Guest ranch is nice...has cabins and camping.  A nice resturant and bar...and a gas station right across the street.  Alot of trails right from the ranch...no need to trailer your ATV.

Also...if you have a hand held GPS...like a Garman Oregon....that will allow you to import maps...the National Forest Service site has maps you can download onto your GPS...otherwise you can print them off,
