Tread lightly and ride responsibly

Sen. Tim Johnson, D-S.D., introduced legislation Wednesday to protect about 48,000 acres of West River prairie, converting them into the nation's first designated grassland wilderness area.

The above starts a news article in the Argus leader May 6. So if you are elderly and have trouble getting around or handy capped forget the use of this area thanks to Sen. Johnson.  He says you can still hunt there but if wheeled equipment can't be used make sure you shoot your deer from the pickup then you won't have to get help and drag your deer so far that the hide is gone.  Wheeled would include the wheeled carriers for game to make traveling with the carcass easier, but say goodbye to that idea save your money and don't buy one for use on Mr. Johnsons grassland.

This is going on all over the country.
Just another way to keep the riff-raff off the land.
