Tread lightly and ride responsibly

The problem is that too many people think that if an ATV gets muddy, the riders have done something wrong. Unfortunately, the forest service fosters this belief because it advances their own adjenda. I have no doubt that the mud on this ATV was accumulated on public roads.
Should be Lt. Hart.
When this picture was taken we were on the road to honor Lt. Hunt who crashed his plane in the desert to save the live of a student pilot.
Talk about Western SD, I can take you on roads in SW Kingsbury county that make the fs roads in the BH look like interstate hiways. Maybe we can get the fs to apply for RTP moneys and we could put in $4,000 cattle gaurds on some of the township roads that become totally impassable do to being under water. And guess what the ajoining land owner pays taxes on these roads at the rate of 4 acres per mile or 8 acres per mile if he owns both sides of the road.
Tsk, tsk. Last year the Let's Ride group came back from a ride with muddy ATVs three guys from the forest service told us the pictures we posted were "bad publicity" because a member of the public saw the pictures and accused the club of mud bogging. People who don't ride don't know that machines can get this muddy just by riding on roads in Western South Dakota.
